Children's books written by Glenys Nellist are always special but this darling book that focuses on the Psalms is a true delight. The book features fifteen different passages in Psalms and takes the concept of the particular Scripture and uses a poem to bring understanding. After reading it to one of my sweet grands I can imagine enjoying this book over and over again. It is a nice addition to the bedtime routine. The portions are short and sweet so your toddler can pay attention and then hopefully be tucked nicely into bed. I would be totally remiss if I didn't mention just how lovely the illustrations by Cee Biscoe are. Lots of soft and cuddly animals in beautiful pastel colors. The pictures truly do compliment the story. I look forward to many nights of reading this book and I think you will too. I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

“Snuggle Time Psalms” was sent to me free of charge, by Zonderkidz – a division of Zondervan Publishing – in exchange for my honest review. “Snuggle Time Psalms” is a children’s picture/board book. It was written by Glenys Nellist, and illustrated by Cee Biscoe. In this little book, that I would consider a child’s devotional, Glenys has picked out several of the Psalms. She has chosen one verse from each (which she includes) and has written a precious poem for it. I definitely feel that a tiny tot would enjoy flipping through the pretty pictures (And, because it’s a board book, you won’t have to worry about them tearing it up.) It is written in a way that I would recommend it for young readers and those who love to read stories to children. I believe they will sit, enthralled in the rhymes and rhythm.

Snuggle Time Psalms almost brought tears to my eyes, it is so sweet and lovely, and the perfect sharing gift for that special toddler in your life. There are fifteen bedtime prayers that will bring the psalms into your little ones life, and allow you the joy to share them. Sharing the word of God with your Child is a blessing in itself, and with your arm around your love one, pure joy. The book has a darling mother and baby elephant on the padded cover, and the rest of the book is made of sturdy cardboard, just right for little hands. I received this book from Book Look Bloggers, and was not required to give a positive review.

I thought the book was cute and fun to read to my kids plus keep their attention long enough. All families need this book in their houses.

Snuggle Time Psalms by Glenys Nellist is an adorably cute board book for kids! I love the padded cover and back as well as the fact that it's a board book. I learned early on with little ones that board books are best. I love that the book of Psalms has been tied into the simple concepts, rhyming text and adorable artwork throughout. Kids love animals and this book is filled with adorable animals that my kids absolutely love. They often sit and flip through the book just looking at the illustrations while they wait for me to help get their siblings ready for bed. Snuggle Time Psalms by Glenys Nellist is the perfect bedtime book and has quickly become one of my kids new favorites! Disclosure: I received product(s) for free, in exchange for my honest review. I only recommend products I've used personally, and believe will be good fit for consumers.

If asked to review Glenys Nellist's Snuggle Time Psalms with one word, I would choose assurance. Nellist pairs fifteen Psalms with short, kid-friendly poems whose reoccurring themes offer assurance that God: is great and powerful, loves us deeply, and is an ever-present protector. Cee Biscoe's accompanying illustrations feature endearing baby animals whose joyful or peaceful expressions reflect these sentiments. Great for little hands, the 5" x 7" board book is sturdy, compact and comfortable. It is, however, the heart of this book that matters—Nellist's apparent desire to assure sleepy toddlers that a mighty God loves them and is always watching over them. Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of "Snuggle Time Psalms" from the publisher, but was not required to write a review.

The Psalms are not just for adults! Snuggle Time Psalms which was written by Glenys Nellist and illustrated by Cee Biscoe offers a perfect first introduction to this poetic book. As always, I am a huge fan of the padded covers, study pages, and compact size which makes it perfect for little ones to take to bed themselves after reading with Dad and Mom. Each two-page spread offers the look into a certain section of the book of Psalm. It begins by offering a title and then the passage that this comes from. For example: In Your Hand Psalm 95 The Lord is the great God. He is the greatest King Psalm 95:3 It then breaks down the Psalm into kids words, told in poetic/rhyming form. You can see this below: I will sing for joy to you, Oh Lord and greatest King! For in your hand you hold the earth, You're Lord of everything! You hold the mountains and the hills. you hold the land and sea. you are my God and I'm your child, You're even holding me. Each two-page spread is beautifully illustrated with animals like a duck mother and her baby, a monkey looking in on a nest of birds, or a safari of animals playing in the water. So sweet! So peaceful! So calming! And as written on their website: "Beginning with "Bedtime Peace" and ending with "Wonderful Me", this collection of bedtime poems enables young children to discover the One who holds them in his arms, leads them like a shepherd, created them just as they are, and cherishes them with a love that never ends ... snuggle and see." booklookbloggers.com provided me with a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This short book puts psalms into everyday language that young ones can understand. The colorful images of animals adds to the cuteness, as well. Each psalm has a verse quoted followed by a poem beneath it. The poem contains the nature of the psalm but obviously has been reworded for children. From elephants to monkeys to mice to penguins, there are so many fun creatures running about in these pages. The full-color pages will make the illustrations come to life, and the hard-cover binding will keep the book in tip-top shape over the years.

I am already a fan of this author and her previous book, "Snuggle Time Prayers," so I was very excited about her newest addition, "Snuggle Time Psalms!" The illustrations are just as beautiful, and each "story" or Psalm, has a different adorable animal. The Psalm used is written at the top, and then turned into rhyming text to help children engage with the verse(s). This book is a great one for bedtime, and introducing little ones to the book of Psalms and to the love of their Savior. The book is a padded board book, easy for little ones to hold and turn the pages.

A few months back I shared about the new book Snuggle Time Prayers and how we were enjoying reading it at our home. So I was excited to see author Glenys Nellist team up again with illustrator Cee Biscoe in this next book, Snuggle Time Psalms. It boasts the same great features like its sturdy pages and size, as well as the darling animal illustrations and easy flowing rhymes. Each prayer centers around a different Psalm, including the well-known Psalm 23 and 139. I love reading through the Psalms, so I am glad to have this book as a great way to introduce my son to these texts and prayers too. If you have little ones in your household, this book would be a great addition to their collection.
