I didn't buy these books, but I've read quite a bit of William Blake's work, and I've always loved it. Especially the poem 'the Lamb' in Songs of Innocence, and 'the tiger' in Songs of Experience. In the Lamb, everything sounds so sweet and lovely and innocent, but when you read a little closer, there's a lot of deep meaning, religion, etc. It's layered, almost, from the most literal reading to the most in-depth philosophy. And the Tiger...well that's just stunningly powerful, the words, the rhthym, the meaning...it's characteristic to what I've read of Blake's work. This is a really awesome set, and if you buy/like this, you have to read more of Blake's work.

Blake's collection of ballad-like poems. Deceptively simple and direct, but often more complex and difficult than they seem.

I started reading this from the age of twelve. Still love it, and find it deeply meaningful.

One of the few poets that have stayed and grown with me. And the artwork!

This is a beautiful edition of Blake's poems. I've used this a lot in school.
