Spice doesn't need to be original to be entertaining, nor do the Spice Girls need to be good singers. It just has to be executed well, and the innocuous dance-pop of Spice is infectious. None of the Girls have great voices, but they do exude personality and charisma, which is what drives bouncy dance-pop like "Wannabe," with its ridiculous "zig-a-zig-ahhh" hook, into pure pop guilty pleasure. What is surprising is how the sultry soul of "Say You'll Be There" is more than just a guilty pleasure, and how ballads like "2 Become 1" are perfect adult contemporary confections. The rest of the album isn't quite as catchy as those first three singles, but it is still irresistible, immaculately crafted pop that gets by on the skills of the producer and the charisma of the five Spices. Sure, the last half of the album is forgettable, but it sounds good while it's on, which is the key to a good dance-pop record.

Spice Girls music is sexy, fun and energizing. I bought this CD and Spice World together. Have never tired of either. Wannabe, Love Thing, If You Can't Dance, Who Do You Think You Are, and Last Time Lover are my favorites. The whole CD is great.

Spice is a great cd to listen to. My favorite song is wannabe. It really gets u in the mood. I also like say you'll be there. I have heard better though. It's one of those cds that only has a couple good songs. After track 3 (2 become 1) there is not much else that is good. 2 become 1, who do u think u r, and if u can't dance are ok. Just ok. I think love thing, last time lover, mamma, something kinda funny, and naked r pretty dumb songs. I own 2 spice girl cds (spice and spice world) and if u want my honest opinion spice world is a better cd. But it's your money. I would buy a single instead of the cd! Less than half the songs r good. Like I said there r only 2 songs that I really like. Emma,Geri, and both Melanies have good voices. Victoria almost never has a solo. I like their music (ecspecially on spice world) because u can dance 2 it. I do not think you'll be dissapointed if u just buy the single. Wannabe really is crazy. It cheers u up. It's fun to sing and dance to. The lyrics r great: if u wanna be my lover, u gotta get with my friends, make it last forever friendship never ends. If u wanna be my lover u have got 2 give, takin' is to easy but that's the way it is. Say you'll be there is a bit more serious but still has lyrics with good meanings. So you've heard my opinion. But anyway, SPICE GIRLS ROCK ON!

This CD gives me energy and courage. It stimulates my brain and opens my eyes to the positive moments in life. They are so inspirational and i hopr that they affect your soul as they have affected mine. The Spice Girls are good to listen to for any age and that why I am so fond of them. They preach good for morals for girls of all ages they are all about having fun they understand that friends are more important than your job or someting like that. They love their fan and try to keep in touch with them. GIRL POWER!
