Step Forward! is a four-unit program for adults who seek a more serious weight-management support group. The four units provide materials for 40 weeks. Structured like traditional 12-step programs, Step Forward! can be an on-going source of support for group members, one they can join at any time. Step Forward/meetings center on sharing meditations on Scripture, Bible study related to recovery topics, sharing food plans and exercise, learning or reinforcing facts about nutrition, celebrating progress, and prayer. Participants are encouraged to change "one day at a time." In the Participant's Handbook, each person can record homework, reflections, meditations, and prayers.
