Overview

Seth Anderson arrives in Sturgeon Falls determined to prove two things -- he never fathered a child, and Kat Macauley is a counterfeiter.

Fiercely protective, passionate and loving, Kat is not what he expected. Also unexpected are his growing feelings for her. To protect his investigation, he doesn't tell Kat the whole truth. But as he unravels the crime, he has second thoughts about choosing a career over a family.

That won't matter if Kat can't forgive him for lying to her. Will his lies, and Kat's doubts, make it impossible to create a new family?

Stranger in a Small Town by Margaret Watson Door County #3 Sturgeon Falls is the host to three marvelous small town romances and this final one tells us of a man who learns he is a father and the woman who is raising his six year old daughter. The fact that he is in town to solve a criminal case that might involve this woman is one thing but it is another when Seth begins to fall for Kat and realizes that he loves his daughter. What I liked: • The many family issues that were dealt with in this book • The honesty and reality of the way the issues were handled • Seth – strong, silent and unable to open up easily but with a heart of gold • Kat – physician, friend and mother with a hot temper but wisdom to realize when to apologize • Regan – six year old addition that adds so much to the story • The side romance between Annie and Bradley • The help given to teens in trouble What I didn't like: • Having to say good bye to the series • Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 4.5 Stars

Family... This was my favorite out of the three books in the series! The storyline & characters touched my heart as I was reading! I really felt for each character and what they were going through... I am a fan of kids in books and little Regan is one I will not forget... add in characters with flaws, a little suspense and drama along with the romance and I was a happy reader! Overall I truly enjoyed it!

Kat and Regan are learning what it means to be a family when Seth comes into their lives. As the three of them are getting to know each other, Seth is investigating a case for the Secret Service which involves Kat and her practice. Seth’s a loner who has never had anyone he could rely on, and Kat has always stood on her own, taking care of everyone else. Will they be able to overcome their barriers to find the love they deserve and become the family unit they all need? This is a wonderful love story, filled with emotions, drama and passion. The characters and storyline are well-developed, engaging and entertaining from beginning to end. This is another delightfully charming visit to Door County that you will thoroughly enjoy. I highly recommend this very appealing tale and series!

Katriona “Kat” Macauley is trying to complete her adoption of five-year old Regan, whose mother died of cancer. Although documents have been sent to Regan’s father, there has been no response. When Seth Anderson, injured Secret Service Agent, arrives in Sturgeon Falls, his visit is two-fold…does he really have a daughter that he was unaware of and is the person raising his daughter guilty of counterfeiting? Wonderful story line that hooked me from the very first. Kat is a small-town doctor always trying to “fix” everyone. She is, at first, put off by Seth’s attitude and his ability to take Regan from her, but there is an attraction between them that make the entire situation more difficult. Although this is the last book in the series it could be read as a standalone, but you would miss out on the first two great stories and characters. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
