When his dad takes a new job in Iowa, Chris Williams thinks he’s leaving theater, music, and maybe even his true self behind in New York City. His worse fears are confirmed when his new school seems more enamored with football than fine arts and a tobacco-chewing bully tries to humiliate him. But a charming girl with a pretty voice and a few goofy guys with musical chops may help Chris discover a new life in this small town.

About the Author

I was born and raised in a small town in western Wisconsin. My creative background is in performing music as well as writing songs. I am also a sign painter. I did find some similarities in writing a novel and writing songs. As I wrote my story I would often think what you have to do to keep an audience, or in this case a reader. This resembles the feeling of performing music to a live audience. I’ve been a semi professional musician for nearly forty years. Thank God I never quit my day job! I have been fortunate in my musical career to have played with some real professionals. I hope you enjoy my first attempt at being a novel writer.
