Many people consider saxophonist Boney James to be the heir apparent to Kenny G's throne. The young sideman-turned-solo-star has developed a sound that blends a hefty helping of R & B with pop and jazz elements, and he's thrown in a dash of sexy romanticism to keep things hot. James' 1995 album SEDUCTION certainly should have a place in any smooth jazz fan's collection, but it's the follow-up, 1997's sparkling SWEET THING, that brought him the most acclaim as an accomplished craftsman of exciting, highly textured tunes. A versatile player who can switch styles with ease, James lets his funk roots show on "Nothin' But Love," and soars through the title track, a lovely version of the Rufus classic. James and singer Al Jarreau team up to create the gorgeous "I Still Dream." By now, the field is crowded with smooth jazz saxophonists; Boney James is not only a standout; he's one of the leaders in the field.

This cd is worth the money. I listened the this cd all day and night. Each track has a unique melody that you can relax to.
Boney James's Sweet Thing CD is AWESOME! It is so relaxing and exhilarating. I listen to it in the car on the way to work, while I'm at work, and at home. Every single song on this CD is incredible! I recommend it to every one, even the young. My kids like it as well!
I was first introduced to Boney when he appeared on one of Peter White's album. I didn't know who Boney was but I knew the sax in the background was very distinct. I kept asking at every music store that I could find. And finally someone at Harmony house knew what I was talking about. From that point on I can detect his sound, thereby putting him in a class of his own. The man truly has soul.I've purchased every CD that Boney has put out plus those that he appears on as a guest. If you want some really smooth music to just listen to, or to make love to Boney is the man. Boney James has not put out on CD that every track is phenomenal. I encourage everyone to buy his music and I guarantee you, you won't be disappointed.
I found another one! Unwine with a glass of wine for the weekend.
