From New York Times and USAToday bestselling romance author Jean Brashear:

Everyone thinks Lacey DeMille is the next thing to royalty, a society girl with beauty, brains and money—but sexy Texas bad boy Devlin Marlowe knows better. Twenty years after being exiled in disgrace for daring to want her, the boy from the wrong side of the tracks has sweet revenge in his grasp...for only he knows that her whole life is built on a lie.

And revenge may be more costly than either of them can imagine.

About the Author

New York Times and USAToday bestselling Texas romance author of over 50 novels, including the popular TEXAS HEROES series, a five-time RITA finalist and RT BOOKReviews Career Achievement Award winner, Jean Brashear knows a lot about taking crazy chances. A lifelong avid reader, at the age of forty-five with no experience and no training, she decided to see if she could write a book. It was a wild leap that turned her whole life upside down, but she would tell you that though she's never been more terrified, she's never felt more exhilarated or more alive. She's an ardent proponent of not putting off your dreams until that elusive 'someday'-take that leap now.

One really bad thing about this book - even if dev did it for lacey - her father was responsible for the marlowe family problems. Their father did what de mille instructed him to do and should have been held accountable - not let bygones be bygones. Yeah, i know it is just book.

The secret that was revealed in the first Gallagher book continues in this third book to the Gallaghers of Morning Star series. Loved the hero Devlin! Twenty years!!!!! He has been in love with Lacey for 20 years! How romantic is that? Of course he didn't think he was still in love with her but both Lacey and Dev never quite got over the relationship they had 20 years ago. Secrets are revealed and what started out as a revenge plot changes and affects all the key players in this story. Can love really overcome everything? You need to read this story to find out. Loved it!

Good storyline as all her books. The only downside is they are not very long but you won't know that becauae of the numbering system. The book begins at page 200 and evey turn of the page equals about 10 plus pages. This one can be read in one evening.

Texas Bad Boy is my favorite of The Gallaghers of Sweetwater series. It takes two star-crossed teenagers from their tragic past to the future fraught with misunderstanding, mixed with desire and love. This book gathers all the pieces of Lacy's and Devon's past to create a cohesive future, while finishing the series with the promise of happily ever after. Texas Bad Boy is perfect for listeners who have enjoyed Carolyn Brown's Happy Texas, Lucky Penny Ranch, and Burnt Boot,Texas series. Also of like mixed emotions are the Cupid, Texas and Twilight, Texas series. All combine a resolution of pain with the promise of joy in the morning. I was especially affected by the scene in which Lacy meets the Gallaghers and find total acceptance for who she is-their sister. For someone so lost at this point, it was a healing point for Lacy. And the fact that Devon was willing to do all he could to facilitate this even though he stood to lose her touched me. I received a copy of the audiobook from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review; all conclusions are my own.

I really enjoyed all three books in this series and how it all came together, but this one I found myself cheering for these characters to put adversity aside so that they could come together.
