About the Author

The author lives in Southeast Arizona where the climates range from low desert to alpine tundra. He has been backpacking since the age of 10 years old in the deserts and mountains of the Southwestern United States in addition to parts of Europe, Alaska, Hawaii and the Virgin Islands

Stella has a bachelors degree in fine arts from the University of Arizona and lives in Southeast Arizona and has enjoyed backpacking, photography and traveling with her husband for over a decade.
