This book describes the purpose of each knot listed and does an excellent job demonstrating how each one is tied. There are several different sections for different sorts of knots (decorative, fishing, climbing, etc...). I enjoy tying knots and I have several different books on the subject, if I had found this book first, I'd have one book on the subject, it's that complete and well done.
