In the game of crushing kings of men, I never planned on my heart being a sacrifice.
For years I've had one goal--revenge. As CEO, I have crafted a strategic plan for business, but never a life beyond.
With one touch from her, the veil is lifted. Things are different, and every moment I'm near her, my world begins to change.
Ivy is my new assistant, and my undoing. If ever I was to believe in a cosmic connection, it was the moment I met her.
But business is king and I have an empire to topple. A wall of propriety that keeps me from her. I need her as my pawn in this war, beside me in battle. Sharing the secrets of my enemies, and her desires in my bed. Her body to claim as mine.
Getting what I want has consequences.
Collateral damage is real.

About the Author
K.I. Lynn is the USA Today Bestselling Author from The Bend Anthology and the Amazon Bestselling Series, Breach. She spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn't until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.
Since she began posting stories online, she's garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination...or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain... Usually it's cheese.

I'm a fan of hot boss/office romances in general, and I definitely liked when the hero of this one was a jerk to the heroine (another thing I love in romances) and some of her comebacks to him too. I really enjoyed the sex scenes in and of themselves, but probably the biggest issue for me with this book was that I never felt their chemistry and attraction. The story is told in alternating POV, and they each think about how they feel instant sparks/overwhelming physical attraction and chemistry for the other, but I never felt it between them as I was reading. There also wasn't as much witty banter as I like in this kind of a plot. I thought his need for revenge was definitely justified and I liked the twin angle of the story, but I felt like Ivy's use for his revenge was too far in the background/off-page for it to have the kind of impact I think it was meant to. Another positive for me was that it was set in Seattle, so seeing familiar landmarks and places mentioned was nice. 2.5 ⭐️ on GR scale 3.5 on Amazon scale 3 on B & N scale I won a free copy of this book in an online contest
