The Lion King [Original Broadway Cast]

The Lion King [Original Broadway Cast]

With The Lion King, the fantastically successful Elton John became even more fantastically successful. His tuneful score, co-written with lyricist Tim Rice and adapted for the Broadway stage from the hit Disney animated film, spawned a handful of modern standards, including "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "The Circle of Life." With the wonderful Heather Headley leading the ensemble, the cast album takes off in a rousing flurry of sweeping anthems and affecting ballads. This is music that both little ones and their parents can listen to with pure pleasure.

I got this CD a few weeks ago, and I can't stop listening to it! It's phenomenal! It can be very soothing or very stirring, depending on which track you listen to. My favorite tracks, by far, are Shadowlands and The Endless Night, they're GREAT!! I highly recomend buying this CD, even if you didn't like the movie music all that much.
