I love the way you can look verses, commentaries and anything else you need to study the Bible. Love the ease of use of the Nook down loaded edition. This Bible is a must for me.

I like the colorful pictures and illustrations. However, I can only navigate to a book-not a specific verse within that book. The content navigation needs to inclilude this feature. The "find or search" button could not takebmentonthe verse when I typed it in either.

Overall this was very nice but definitely not what I was looking for. The description needs to be a little more clear and let you know this is not your everyday Bible to carry with you but more like a true study reference that stays on your bookshelf or desk at home. Colors and illustrations were very nice but ended exchanging this for a smaller leather bound study bible.

NKJV Study Bible Published by Thomas Nelson is an incredible study Bible! I absolutely love the new handy personal size as well as the words of Christ in red. NKJV Study Bible Published by Thomas Nelson also features a full cross-reference with textual notes to take your studies to a whole new level. It also features word studies, indexes, Bible times and culture notes, outlines and timelines. Something I really love is the full color features because sometimes you just need a little color. NKJV Study Bible Published by Thomas Nelson is the perfect way to truly dive into the Bible like never before. Disclosure: I received product(s) for free, in exchange for my honest review. I only recommend products I've used personally, and believe will be good fit for consumers.

Are you looking for a great study Bible that offers you many features? The NKJV Study Bible: Full Color is the Bible that you need. It comes in Hardback, imitation leather and is available in e-book format. I received the Hardback copy to review and must say that my first impression was I loved it, but it is heavy and that is what makes it a great study Bible. After looking through the Bible, I fell in love with all the wonderful features especially the Books of the Bible introductions, outlines and timelines and loved that it was in color!!! This Bible includes other great features such as Bible-land photos and graphics, in-text maps and charts, word studies and indexes, and Bible times and Culture notes just to name a few. This is the perfect Bible for you to keep on your desk, nightstand, dresser, table, or wherever you do your Bible studying at. Very sturdy, stays open so you will not loose your place and the use of vibrant colors. I definitely highly recommend this Bible to anyone who has been searching for that perfect study Bible! I promise you will not be disappointed in this choice. Thank you to the publisher for providing me with a copy of this Bible for my honest review!

*I received a complimentary copy of this Bible from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for my honest review. When I saw that I had the opportunity to review this Bible I jumped at the chance. I owned the previous edition of this Bible and wanted to see the updates that were made. There are some great changes and positives about this Bible. First, the colors are magnificent. They are vibrant, detailed, and not grainy at all. I found myself starring at them a lot. However, they were not so distracting that I lost my place while reading. Another positive is the location of the notes. They are at the bottom which allows the text to flow with minimal interruption. The same goes for the word study notes which are mostly at the bottom as well. Both the text and study notes were in a great font type. This allowed for reading without straining. What did surprise me as another positive was the introduction to each book. I chose Romans and really benefited from the introduction and book outline. It setup for a great read of Romans. The only drawback that I can see is the weight. Coming it at just over four pounds makes this a heavy study Bible. This should not pose a problem for study on a table or a desk. It will probably pose a problem for handheld reading. Thus, I give this Bible a 4.5 star rating and suggest that if you are looking for a new study Bible and favor the New King James Version consider this Bible as a great option.

When I saw the NKJV Study Bible, Full Color Edition was available to review (in return for my honest review, thank you BookLook Bloggers), I decided to check it out. I watched the trailer on it, and then called my 17 year old over to see if she would like to use it. I have to say, I never would have expected her reaction to the trailer... when it got to the 44/45 second mark was about when I heard her say "o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-h" in a voice that is generally reserved for cute little fluffy bunnies and kittens and such. You'll have to watch the trailer to see what caught her attention :D (look it up on YouTube :) ) I recommend watching the trailer anyway.  This is definitely a case of not judging a book by its cover, as the cover itself is rather bland, the Full Color Edition refers to the inside which is filled with beautiful photographs and maps right in the text, so that you can see what you're reading about on the same page. This is all highlighted in the trailer below. (And yes, we jumped right on the opportunity to review this Bible).  Our thoughts:  It is wonderful to have a good study Bible in the NKJV, as that is what my kids use for memorization.  The center column reference is a new tool for my daughter, and one that I have a great fondness for myself.  The concordance is one of the most complete in-Bible concordances that I have seen in a long time~ also a good tool (One of my daughter's favorite features). Having the maps and photos in the text helps to bring the words more to life as one reads~ what a great feature!  Book introductions, outlines and timelines are all useful to the Bible scholar, whether they are just starting out, or are an old hand at study. There are also Word Studies and indexes, which haven't been used yet, but will be handy when the need arises.  The Textual Notes haven't been used yet, so I can't speak to those at this point.  We wonder if this Bible in the leather binding would be lighter, as the hard-cover is rather heavy and not as conducive to bringing along to church or her youth group Bible study~ we would love to be able to have all those benefits in a slightly more portable edition (understanding that with all the extra features, this might be a difficult proposition).  If you are looking for a new study Bible, something for a junior high or high school student, college student or adult, then this might be a most excellent choice.

No wonder the NKJV Study Bible (Thomas Nelson) is hefty. It is jam-packed with Bible study tools, charts, pictures – you name it, it’s there. But be warned. This is not the Bible you grab to bring to church because of its weight. Rather, it’s the book you keep on your desk as a resource and for serious study. This Bible is a great addition to any theological library, and especially for someone wanting to study the Bible in its cultural and historical context and to see how it all weaves together as one piece. And for minimalists, the NKJV Study Bible is in itself a comprehensive condensed theological library. As far as readability, the layout is clean and although the font size is small it clearly legible. Paper is thin (thank goodness or you’d need huge muscles to carry it). On the down side, some of the photos provided to illustrate and highlight the text, are so tiny it is hard to see what they are. Maybe use a magnifying glass?! Nifty features in the NKJV Study Bible include: • Attractive full-color page layout • Superb photos and graphics of Bible lands • Maps and charts woven in the text • Word studies and indexes • Bible Times and Culture Notes • Intros to Bible books • Outlines and timelines • Easy-to-read articles and notes to enhance Bible study • Deluxe NKJV Concordance • Intertwining references The NKJV Study Bible is the complete package for those who want to delve deeply into God’s Word. Think Christmas gifts for hungry Bible students. (Do not think Christmas stocking – unless you have giant stockings.) Janey DeMeo M.A. Copyright © November 2014

I was excited to get the opportunity to review the NKJV (New King James Version) Study Bible from Thomas Nelson Publishers. This second edition is in full color with cross-references, translator notes, study notes, in-text maps and charts, articles and much, much more. This Bible is amazing! When I opened the box and saw this HUGE Bible (it's 2000+ pages), I didn't know what to think! I opened it up and explored it. There is so much to read and to learn! Each book of the Bible has a description of the book, information about the author (or presumed author), when it was presumed to have been written, the purpose, and for the Old Testament books there is also a section on Christ in the scriptures that talks about how this particular book relates to prophecies about Christ and how they are fulfilled. Knowing about the culture, meanings of words that are unclear, etc. helps to expand my understanding of the words in the Bible so much. When looking at this Bible, I started thinking about my undergraduate courses in Christianity and in particular my Old Testament studies course. A Bible like this would be excellent for a course in Bible studies, to read on your own, or for a pastor to read when preparing sermons. I look forward to reading the whole Bible in this new way. I know that I will be seeing God's Word in a whole new light! I was so blessed to have this opportunity to obtain this wonderful Bible and I suggest that you pick one up as a gift for yourself or someone else this holiday season.
