As an elementary librarian I have read this book to many of my students. It fuels an interest in many different genres of books while letting students see that books can be exciting and take them places they've never been before. Unfortunately my copies of this book are failing - and I'm desperately searching for new copies.
I loved the movie since the first time i saw it and then this year i bought this book and now i love both. i had always wondered y i loved to read so much well i re-rented this movie that i had not seen since i was 5 and fond out that this movie is what stirred my thirst for knowledge in books. :)
