I'm mostly into Naruto, Bleach, Death Note, all of the very popular manga. And I never thought I'd like any sports related manga. Sure, I was being stereotypical, but it's true! But when I grabbed the first volume of The Prince of Tennis, I fell in love! I read it through to the end in about 20 minutes. Trust me, you will absolutely adore Kanomi-sensei's characters, personalities, and plot all in one clever series!

I really really enjoy this series. At first I thought the artwork could've been better, but as the series progressed, so did the artwork. Also, the manga definitel makes me want to read more. I tried watching the anime, but it was pretty poorly animated and the English voice actors were poor. The manga is funny, dramatic, and will keep you reading until The Prince of Tennis series 2 comes out in English. Hopefully that'll be soon.

This was a great manga. I read it in a hour and a half. I couldnt put it down. This coud be my new favorite manga. It is definetly the best sports manga. This will make Shonen Jump stay the worlds most popular manga. (Not that I evr thought they wouldnt remain the worlds most popular manga) This also will make people beg the writer to make more manga series and The Prince of Tennis.

Ryoma Echizen, the son of a highly renown and skilled tennis player Nanjiro Echizen, has moved back to America after 4 consecutive wins in the U.S.! After playing with 'starters' of the new highschool in Japan he is attending he is chosen to become a regular. From there he learns, wins A LOT, and loses (rarely!) When I read these series, I actually though it would be boring because it was about tennis. And I don't like sports, but after I read this I actually started practicing tennis, and this is my #1 motivator to become a better tennis player so...give this book a try, it is sooooo addicting.(btw, the animation series are also great!)

I think this anime//manga is totally awesome. I love Ryoma Echizen. He`s so cute in the book and anime. Also I love it when he wins matches and all the 'techniques' they use. Echizen is actually really good with any type of sports after he learns how to play. In addition, he is a quick learner and super smart. =]

Prince of Tennis is awesome. I wasn't really into tennis, but when I read it. It was getting good. You should try to watch the movie. You'll understand it more and Know what I'm talking about. There are so many events and detail that you won't want to put the book down. So give PRINCE OF TENNIS a chance. You won't regret it.

I still feel "manga-illiterate" but do admit to enjoying POT. Popularity is certainly there!

I bought this for my nook, and it said it was here... but I can't read my favorite manga now. What happened? Is it just a mess up? Well, I hope the people at B&N fix the mess. Then I want to be able to read it. I don't want to have to pay for it again, and still not be able to read it.

I'm so excited that shonen jump is finally publishing a sports manga. Even though they aren't publishing it in the magazine, I still plan on buying all the graphic novels. If you want to know more, go to May 2004 of Shonen Jump for the sneak preview!!!
