Overview

Coded paintings. Missing planes. Dirty bombs.

After a foiled attempt on the lives of world leaders, criminal mastermind Ivan Fradkov successfully eludes world-renowned nonverbal expert Doctor Genevieve Lenard and her team for months. But things heat up quickly when a stranger is assassinated in the chair next to Genevieve while she’s having lunch with her friend.

Barely controlling her autistic mind’s need to shut down and escape the influx of intel and emotional upheaval, she tries to make sense of an unreliable spy’s sudden co-operation, a friend’s kidnapping and a team member’s life hanging in the balance.

Then time runs out and Genevieve is faced with an impossible choice. Does she stay by the side of a loved one who desperately needs her or does she put her own life in danger to stop a psychopath?

This series is always fun to read. There are things to be learned with twists and turns in the plot. It is also interesting to see the relationships evolve.

There are a lot of us high-functioning non-neurotypicals. Mrs. Ryan's stories present us with someone to identify with. (Oops, ended a sentence with a preposition. I'll probably worry about that for a while). The personalities of the crew may make us jealous that we do not have such an understanding group around us. Good stories, keep them coming!

After discovering the thoroughly exciting & entertaining series Estelle Ryan has created I can't wait for the next book! The unlikely personalities that work together & support each other as they grow closer as friends & mature emotionally so bonds of love deepen keeps my interest as the action & intrigue keep me reading long into the night! Start at the beginning of the series so you don't miss the personalities evolving & the friendships deepening. Now I have to wait again for a new Dr Genevieve Lenard experience!

In 3 years Doctor Genevieve Lenard has changed from being alone to having friends. Ivan Fradov has been eluding Genevieve and her team for months. Now spy Emad Vernet has been sending information in Uccello paintings with coded messages. Daniel goes missing when his plane is hacked. Story is filled with emotional demands, lots of twists and turns before Genevieve can solve the mystery. Only Estelle writes a book with information on paintings, music, hacking, dirty bombs and characters with friendship and personalities that we love. Wonderful story, can't wait for the next adventure.

I love this series. I have chosen to purchase each one after getting the first one for free conditional upon me writing a review. There is great character development from one to the next book. Genevieve is seen as gradually evolving to accept her friends & their emotions. This is combined with mysteries drawn from current headlines & technology.
