There are not too many Larry Clinton CDs out there, and among the few that exist, this one is a MUST-HAVE!! Why? Well, for starters, you get to hear a studio version of &quot The Dipsy Doodle&quot by the very band that made it famous! Though Larry Clinton and his Orchestra never released it on Victor or Bluebird, I feel that it is much more loose and swinging than Tommy Dorsey's verson. Also, you can hear the very first versions of &quot Martha&quot (an entire YEAR before the 1938 version, and for me, better), &quot Zig Zag&quot and &quot Let Her Go&quot . Also, an excellent arrangement of &quot Dipper&quot ...oh, excuse me, &quot Sugar Foot Strut&quot as well. I heartily want you to take a listen at this CD.
