Rev the engine eagerly, waiting for the green light to send you hurtling across the countryside. Keep the tank full, find your way around the speed limit, and avoid the accidents that will slow you down. Keep the pressure on full, and be the first to make it 1,000 miles!

Mille Bornes is the classic card game of cross-country racing. Keep a green light handy in case you get stopped and play a tire puncture on your opponent to keep him from getting ahead. Protect yourself with safety cards, and save one for the classic Coup Fourré. Play your cards right, and you'll be the first to cross the finish line and be the master of the Mille Bornes!

For Ages: 8+

Have had an older version of this card game--we pull it out and play with family and friends from time to time. A fun game that doesn't take a lot of deep concentration...great to laugh and visit over! Bought this particular one for our Son-in-law's birthday...he loves it, and carries it back and forth to work (when his several college student employees have to sit and watch monitors for classrooms in a medical/nursing school setting...). Thank you for the great service!!

I have very fond memories of this game from my childhood. This version has slightly different rules and no score sheets like the original version. It is a bit simpler that the game I remember and love. Also, if you lose the rules, you are out of luck. I googled and googled but was only able to find the original game rules, which don't work as well with the configuration of the cards in this deck. Luckily I found the rules again.

This is a great French card game!  I am student teaching right now and it is a great game to play after my French art lesson.  It is really simple to play and very addicting!  If you teach then I recommend this game.  It also goes over the rules of the road so who doesn't like that for their students to learn?
