I was Lucky enough to hear the author, Henry Nueman, speak at my college last year and must say it was the most interesting lecture I have ever heard. I immediately bought two copies of Van Gogh and God afterwards. Every page is rich with fascinating new perspectives on Van Gogh's life. It is a theology and art history lesson all in one and combined perfectly at that. For nonfiction, this book is very captivating and reads quickly. Anyone interested in Van Gogh and/or religion should definately read this book. It documents one very important spiritual quest, previously ignored by both art historians and theologians.
