This is the cookbook I use most often. Every recipe has turned out great. I'm a vegan, but I have served my non-veg roommates and co-workers a bunch of things from this book, and they have loved everything.

if you are vegan or even if you are not, this is the absolutely best vegan chef out there ... her recipies are not only delicious, they are simple to make, and require ingredients that you would usually have in your vegan/vegetarian pantry ... instructions are easy to follow, and if you follow just as directed, you are guaranteed success ... my non-veg friends love it when i cook or bake something from one of her books becuase it is delicious and nutritious... her food does NOT taste like diet food, you will be denying yourself nothing! to top it off she has a wonderful humor and her books are a pleasure to read ... buy it!

This is one vegan cookbook where ALL the recipes are good; no weird, esoteric recipes that might appeal to a very narrow audience... but one delicious, consistently good recipe after another. Moskowitz is a genius in the kitchen!

this cookbook is great and filled with wonderful recipes, so far i've tried the caramelized onion quiche and the tofu scramble both were awsome. I'm 16 and i've found these recipes easy to make then again i'm a food network junky i watch it like 24/7 so i have culinary knowledge. i would advise everyone to buy this book and also Veganomicon, my next cookbook purchase will be vegan with a vengeance which i hear is awsome.

I love all of Isa's books. 90% of these recipes I have never even had non-vegan. Her books definitely make being vegan easier. :)

We have a mixed dietary collection in our household, one allergic to cow's milk, one interested in vegetarianism, and a couple of mostly Vegans and the anything goes ones too. This recipe book has many recipes that appeal to all our tastes at the same time! We especially love the Banana Flapjacks and the Chocolate Beer Waffles! There is a nice collection of dairy free baking (super helpful for my dairy allergic child). This book includes a nice wide variety of creative recipes that actually taste good and are liked by all in the family, no matter what dietary need they have, making this cookbook very valuable. There are a wide array of recipe types that you can use for any meal at any hour. Thanks so much for your good recipes, Ms. Moskowitz!

I have tried so many recipes from this cookbook, and all were delicious and successful. No duds! As if I would expect any less from Isa! Some of my faves:-Raised waffles-Chelsea waffles-Gingerbread waffles...I'm sensing a theme here-Banana Flapjacks-Diner potatoesOh man, there are so many. I LOVE this cookbook!

Isa's recipes are a revelation to those living without dairy and eggs. She has delicious recipes that do not use hard-to-find ingredients or have hard-to-follow steps. I made the cornbread waffles today. They are delicious disks of crunchy cornbread - yummy! I look forward to trying more of her recipes. That said, the formatting of this nook edition is a little off. The ingredients are listed after the recipe directions, not before as is usual. I hope bn or the publisher can correct this distracting error.
