About the Author

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Isa Chandra Moskowitz began her vegan cooking journey over two decades ago. In 2003, she created the Post Punk Kitchen community access TV show to give vegans something to watch. In conjunction with the show, she also started the PPK website to foster an online vegan cooking and baking community. Since then, she has authored and co-authored several vegan cookbooks, including Veganomicon and Isa Does It. Her latest adventure was opening a vegan/vegetarian restaurant, Modern Love, in June 2014.

The original version was my first vegan cookbook ever. I picked it up because of the title and some of the recipes changed my life! I have never eaten so well as I have as a vegan, and its is all delicious, exciting, and does my body good! This re-issue has some new recipes, updates, and insights. I was very happy to add this to my collection! (I have all of her books) If you are thinking about going vegan...start with Isa! Her recipes will please and surprise (I bring her baked goods to work and family events, and everyone is amazed at how delicious and decadent vegan cooking can be!) Favorite recipes: Maple Mustard Glazed Potatoes and Green Beans, Scrambled Tofu [hubby's fav], and Black Eyed Pea and Quinoa Croquettes. Excellent cookbook!
