A clever, concise introduction to Vincent van Gogh and his art. Filled with humor that will be appreciated by both kids and adults, it's a biography with photos of paintings and details about VG's life that influenced his art. My students were interested to learn that even though VG is extremely famous now, he only sold one painting in his lifetime. I enthusiastically recommend this book.

This biography of Vincent van Gogh is written from the perspective of an elementary student writing a report. It has many of van Gogh's paintings as well as the child's drawings. It chronicles van Gogh's life and gives examples of his paintings from different periods. It is a good way to build recognition of his work. It also is a nice example of a written report using different media.
