A hot new rock star romance from USA Today bestselling author Blair Babylon!

Music is a bitch mistress.

Getting the job as a backup singer in the breakout rock band Killer Valentine is the chance of a lifetime for curvy, redheaded Rhiannon Macallen. She has spent every moment of the last five years preparing for her shot at the spotlight with a breakneck schedule of music lessons, band performances, and voice coaching that has consumed every second of her life and every penny from her poverty-level part-time job.

The contract she signs has an ironclad no-fraternization clause: no screwing around with the band members.

But Killer Valentine is falling apart. Drugs, groupies, and the rock-and-roll lifestyle are seducing the rockers despite the desperate efforts of the lead singer and the band manager, a green-eyed, gorgeous hunk named Jonas Rees.

Rhiannon tries to help Jonas hold the band together, but every time they retrieve one of the rockers from another drug-addled disaster, Jonas's sultry looks and lingering touches make her yearn for what might have been.

Unless she's willing to risk her only chance at stardom for love.

I was hoping for so much more which is why the 3 star rating. It was ok...just ok. Being such a short story there wasn't much time to develope anything. But you could always use your own imagination and fill in a fantastic story just the way you'd like to see it happen! J

Rhiannon (like Stevie Nicks sings it) has worked her butt off, it seems like time began, to just get a chance! So, is it a 'lucky break' to get a shot with Killer Valentine, the hottest band on the planet? The strict contract and no fraternization clause are not a problem for her. After all, her music is everything. And Jonas, the band manager, but more like Mr Handle Everything, needn't worry about her ruining this chance to prove herself, after all, it didn't just fall in her lap. And then Blair Babylon starts to wind and weave her magic. Does Rhiannon seek anything more than forbidden sexy time with Jonas at the risk of literally getting 'kicked off the tour', does she compromise all those goal driven years or is that 'lucky break' still shining down on her??

I was really looking forward to reading this but i was thoroughly underwhelmed. The story was very rushed. I feel like there could have been so much more to that story if the author had taken the time to write more creatively.

Blair Babylon has done it again. This was another sexy, sassy story to enjoy. Rhiannon is a backup singer getting her first big break. Jonas is the group's business manager. As her three month trial contract evolves, so does their relationship. Rhiannon's whole life is music, or is it? Read and find out what this girl really wants! An ARC was provided for an honest review.

What's a girl to do when she is signed as a backup singer for the hottest bad boys of rock and her contract says no fraternizing with the band? She falls for the manager that keeps the show on the road and these wild men out of jail, the hospital, and rehab. This is the beginning of a wild ride with Killer Valentine. This series is amazing and this story will leave you begging for more.

This is the beginning of another great series from Blair Babylon. And what's better that rock stars and a girl that gets what she wants? Rhiannon is  in L.A. trying to make it in the music business. She is living from paycheck to paycheck, living with a group of other artist with no electricity or even a bed to sleep in. When she gets the chance to audition for Killer Valentine, the new up and coming rock band. She takes the chance and gets the job as a back-up singer. It is hard not to love Rhiannon and what she goes through but you will also fall for Jonas, Xan and the other band members. I wonder what will become of the band, will they destroy themselves or will they make it bigger than any other band it recent history? If you love a great rock star story than you should read this one, you will not only get the rock star but an up and coming star that started as a back-up singer. I loved this one and can't wait for the next one, it is Tryp's story. **Copy provided by the author in exchange for my honest review**

I didn't read the synopsis for this book before reading it. I was told it was a New Adult Rock Star Romance and that's all I need to know before picking it up. That being said I didn't know who Rhiannon was going to have a relationship with. I thought Rhiannon would end up with Xan. I loved the beginning when Rhiannon auditioned for the band. When Rhiannon auditioned for the band I immediately fell in love with cocky Tryp. Rhiannon not only is a great singer but she can keep up with he boys. Jonas and Rhiannon are great together. There is a contract clause let there is no sleeping with the band members. Jonas ensures her that he is management not a band member but they decide to keep their relationship a secret. But like all secrets, it eventually comes out. Jonas and Rhiannon have a great story and it's worth reading. What A Girl Wants was very well written. I loved the whole story and all the characters. I hope each band member get their own book. Tryp's story is next and I can't wait to read it.

Well written and edited. Fast pace with a good introduction to the main characters who all have major hurdles to overcome before true happiness finds them. If reading about severe addictions and indiscriminate sex bothers you, this series may not be for you.

I love Blair Babylon! I read the ARC copy of What a Girl Wants and was so engrossed in the details that it all came together for me. The chubby down and out girl gets the gig with the big band. Really set up nicely for me. The way she transforms from the ugly duckling into the swan was such a smooth transition I didn't see t coming at first. Jonas and Rhiannon had such similar backgrounds, foster care, loneliness and being left behind that it was not a hard reach to give them the happily ever after they deserved. It did take them a bit to get there and it was nice to see the band finally open up to her. Can't wait for the next book.

This is a new to me author.  We have 22 year old Rhiannon who is a singer and struggling but when we learn more about her it just all goes with her attitude.  She has gone to a competition to be backup singer for the band Killer Valentine.  When she lands the position  she is overjoyed because unlike the Barbie doll types who were there she is not like any of them  she is a bit chubby and doesn’t think to high of herself in the beauty department. She signs their contract and makes plans.  Rule of the band. NO messing with the band members or your fired that was repeated to her many times.  The lead singer has some issues at a few of their tour stops and Rhiannon steps in not only that a few of the band members are drugged out, not doing as they are suppose to and again its Rhiannon to the rescue..  But then it happens Jonas Rees the bands Manager causes Rhiannon to almost lose her position in the band.  Well I am not going to tell you anything more because yea no spoilers.. This was a really easy read, I enjoyed it and I would recommend it. I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review

A good read with an HEA I enjoyed reading this book; it’s the first book by Blair Babylon that I’ve read (I own others but just haven’t read them yet). I suspect that I may be a little older than her target audience for this book but that didn’t keep me from wanting to read it when I was offered an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I would caution you that if you don’t like references to drugs, and what is probably the seedier side of a rock star’s life, you may not want to read this. However, know that the main characters do not indulge and, in fact, try to prevent others from indulging so this didn’t bother me. The heroine is a down on her luck aspiring singer. Her trials and tribulations after joining a major band, and the interactions between the characters, were interesting to read. I’m not really sure why but this book didn’t invoke a lot of deep emotion for me as I read it (something I usually enjoy in a book) but, again, I still enjoyed reading it. While this book is part of the Rock Stars in Disguise series it is a complete story with an HEA. After reading it you may want to continue reading the other books but you won’t feel like you’ve been left hanging. I should also say that this is the first “rock star” type of romance that I’ve read. I suspect if you enjoy that genre you will like this book.

I read the ARC of What A Girl Wants (Rockstar in Disguise:Rhiannon) and what can I say Ms Babylon have done it again. It was such a great story. I loved Rhiannon because she's such a sweet, loyal and dedicated person. Despite all the hardships of being a foster child it didn't stop her from following her dreams and believing in love with Jonas. Ms Babylon did a fantastic job developing the characters with a book that was just over a 100 pages. It was short and sweet. I can't wait to read about the other band members. You had me hooked from the first page. I didn't want to put it down. Ms. Babylon you have such a wonderful way with words. You make it seem so easy and that's why you have lifetime fan in me. 4 stars. This is my first Blair Babylon book and was enough to interest me in reading more from her. I loved the interaction between Rhiannon and the band members, especially the regimented lead singer and his commitment to the band. I enjoyed the story, getting to know Jonas and Rhiannon, but I wish there had been a bit more of an ending for them. While the story kept you interested and reading until the very end, it lacked a bit to me, not exactly rushed but I needed more from it. That being said, it's not enough to ruin the book or keep me from wishing Tryp's story was done and ready to read right now! A One-Click Addict's Book Blog

Blair has another hit! This is a fun look into the life of a Rock band that is on the edge of making it “big”. Rhiannon has the chance to join the red-hot band on a temporary basis. It doesn’t take long for her to find out that things aren’t always what they seem. Steamy manager, Jonas is trying to keep them from falling apart. This book has you on the edge of your seat with twists, turns and wondering if they can hold it together long enough to make it.
