WOW Hits 2004

WOW Hits 2004

Christian music's annual double-CD, multi-label hits compilation shows plenty of meat this time around, with heavy participation from major stars of the genre plus the addition of a few promising newcomers (Across the Sky, 12 Stones). That of course reflects the genre's beefy 2003 release schedule, and this two-CD set is just one outward example of Christian music's continued strength. The more pop-oriented Green disc features such upbeat feel-good numbers as Amy Grant's "Simple Things," Steven Curtis Chapman's "All About Love," and Chris Rice's "The Other Side of the Radio." For an edgier approach, try the Gold disc, which features Sixpence None the Richer's "Breathe Your Name," Relient K's "Getting Into You," Kutless' "Run" and "All My People" from Lil' IROCC Williams. Once again, there's something for everyone here, and the solid display of musical talent and styles should please a variety of tastes. Wow, indeed!

This has to be the greatest collection of christian music ever. A two-disk set, the green disk has some great hits with Steven Curtis Chapman's "All about love" and others. The gold disk has a lot of popular styles that will appeal to any one. Tobymac is spectacular in "Phenomenon", and Jump5 has a catchy, bouncy beat in "Why do I do". All in all, the best of the best.
