They thought they were alone. They were wrong.

On October 15th, humanity went missing.

A handful of scattered survivors wake to find the world empty of friends, family, and neighbors.

Among them, a child searches for his family. A special agent turned enemy of the state survives a fiery plane crash with no way to reach his daughter. A serial killer discovers he’s no longer at the top of the food chain.

Now these strangers must find the strength inside them to weather the new world.

But they are not alone.

In the absence of civilization, a new threat emerges. In the stillness, it waits and watches, preying on their weakness. Their only hope is to find more survivors, rise above their fear, and face the oncoming darkness.

But can they unite before they too are lost? And can they all be trusted?

Season One of Yesterday’s Gone by Sean Platt and David W. Wright is a tense post-apocalyptic thriller that will leave you guessing to the end.

If you like post-apocolyptic, horror and a smidge of romance, then you should definitely read this book! I have now read all the seasons of yesterday's gone that have been released and cannot wait to find out what happens next! 5 stars!!!

It’s pretty simple, if you like a book that has great storytelling, pay the money and read this book. Serialized fiction is something that I think more people would fall in love with if they would only give it a chance. Here is your chance. You’re going to have to look hard to find a better serialized tale. Have you read the Green Mile? Did you like how there were cliffhangers between the six sections? This book collects season 1, episodes 1-6 of Yesterday’s Gone and is in the serialized format. If you like great television told in episodic fashion, give this serial a chance. The story is full of cliffhangers that make you want to turn to the next episode to see what the heck happens next. The characters are rich and the serialized nature leads to a fast paced page turning experience. If you have an addictive personality, this may not be for you. Once you read an episode you are jonesing for your next fix. No big deal when you read the whole season in one sitting (like I did), but the serialized nature leaves you experiencing the same thing you run into at the end of a great television show, you have to wait a week for the next episode. Not that there is anything wrong with that at all. This is the first time I have felt the urge to leave a review on a book after reading it. While I may recommend other books to friends, this is the first time I have felt the NEED to tell the world you all need to stop for a minute and take a look at what is going on here. Spoiler alert, you will not regret this purchase.

A perfect read (all1274 pages). This book is a end of the world novel that leaves the reader with more questions than answers...in a good way. Originally written as a series of episodes, I think this longer format is much better. The strange twists and turns make you think everything from alien invasion to government conspiracy or perhaps a bad trip into an alternate reality. The characters add great dimension and move the story along with their own subplots. My only problem was with one killer character who somehow (either his personality or dialog) seemed off. To all dystopian readers this is a must have book. It should, however come with a warning...Don't start this book without enough coffee to see it through to the end. Oh wait, it doesn't end...there are six more episodes just waiting to be read. I need to dive back in and find out what happens next...

No words can describe the misery of trying to read this book. The premise isn't the problem. It's the writing! Was an editor even involved? "He'd never drunk before." Drunk isn't a verb! Constant sentence fragments, incorrect grammar, repetitious vocabulary, on and on and on....... Fortunately for me, I got this book during a Free Friday and it only reinforces the adage, "You get what you pay for."

Anytime Boricio's chapters came up I paged past them because the character and his language were disgusting...the other characters were interesting, but I will not pursue the series...wish B&N would post better Free Friday books

Awesome Apocalypse adventure. Various and random people wake up to a world already torn apart, with majority of the population gone. Does have some zombies, to start with. But that is really just the start. By the time you reach the end of this season, you think you know what is going on. Then you realize it was just the beginning

Although this is openly marketed as a "cliff hanger" series, Season One ends with NO conclusions and ALL the loose ends blowing in the breeze. After 400+ pages of struggling through a multitude of storylines there is no reward at the end of this road. There are many other books in my library that would have been a better use of my time.

Keeps you on the edge of your seat and needing to find out what is happening with each character and of course the state of world! Can't wait to read the next installment!

I enjoyed this for what it is...escapism. The writing was well paced, with intriguing characters. The author seems to have a good grasp of the inner mechanics which make a story comfoetable like a well heeled shoe.

I kept waiting for the punch line, some sort of plot that made sense. Didn't happen. Excessive use of bad language. Mostly unlikable characters, Zero rating.

It pulled me in right away. Very original. I could've done without Boricio.

Story develops slow and is frequently confusing. Was still an enjoyable enough read to pass the time, but not enough to convince me to pick up additional season books.
