About the Author
Eboniè P. Fields is co-founder and vice president of Upward Empowerment, Inc.; a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, co-founded with her husband, Ralpheal, in Houston, Texas. Upward Empowerment is dedicated to higher excellence for all, and hopes to empower, motivate, and ensure that society is educated and consulted on key fundamentals for college, corporate industry, public impression and financial management. Mrs. Fields works closely with local schools, universities, and youth camps to help develop today’s society. She is a popular motivational speaker at workshops and conferences with a background in marketing and TV entertainment. While working for the local FOX TV Station, KRIV, she won the 2008 Rising Star Award for American Women in Radio and Television. Mrs. Fields received her B.A. from Baylor University, where she majored in journalism and minored in political science. Baylor is where she grew her dedication and active involvement in the community with non-profit organizations, working as a trained and certified hotline advocate at the Waco Advocacy Center for Criminal Victims and Children. Today, Mrs. Fields is heavily involved in the Houston community as an active volunteer at the Houston Area Women’s Center, advocating against domestic violence and child abuse. She is dedicated and devoted to developing today’s at-risk individuals to become successful community and professional leaders.
