About the Author

President of Good Health Industries, Matthew Good became a Registered Dietitian in 2004 following a wealth of undergraduate and graduate studies in nutrition and dietetics, as well as concentrations in weight loss and psychology. However, he would attest that his artful skills and craftsman-like approach to weight loss might have less to do with his professional experience and more to do with his personal experience. Admittedly battling a minor weight problem throughout his life, Matthew met the manifestation of his worst fears as his college years began, uncontrollably spiraling from low-end 200's to the mid-300 pound range in just over a year. After countless attempts to regain control of his weight, he frustratingly and helplessly realized that the available consumer weight loss products and services offered nothing but the empty promises of charlatans eager to take one's money, dignity, and hope. The few legitimate products and services that were available were, in his eyes, tarnished by their own pessimistic preaching of "slow and steady" and "moderation is key". With well over 100 lbs. to lose, "slow" and "moderate" quickly became unwelcome phrases.

At this point, Matthew dedicated his education to all things weight loss. Following a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Youngstown State University, as well as an M.S. in the like from the University of Akron, he finished his formal schooling with a prestigious internship at the Family Health Council in Pittsburgh. Of more interest, Matthew had also been able to go from his highest weight of close to 350 lbs. to a low near 200 lbs. More importantly, he continues to maintain his weight loss to this day.
